Vitesse leapfrog PEC Zwolle with victory

Vitesse came from behind to beat PEC Zwolle 2-1 this evening and climb above their opponents in the Eredivisie table.

Goals from Bertrand Traore and Davy Propper cancelled out Mustafa Saymak's fourth-minute opener to earn in-form Vitesse a sixth successive win.

Zwolle had lost their previous three games but started in ideal fashion as Saymak got on the end of Bart van Hintum's cross for his sixth of the season.

The visitors led for half an hour in Arnhem before Chelsea loanee Traore equalised with his third goal in four matches, following good work from Guram Kashia.

Vitesse's half-time position would have been even stronger had Marko Vejinovic not missed a stoppage-time penalty, but their turnaround was complete on 64 minutes.

It was another goal from a midfielder as Propper arrived to convert a Rochdi Achenteh cutback and secure his side three points which send them fifth.
