Carlo Ancelotti says that he is happy with Paris Saint-Germain's current run of form that saw them hammer Valenciennes 4-0 away from home in Ligue 1 on Tuesday.

Paris Saint-Germain coach Carlo Ancelotti has said that he is pleased with his side's performance against Valenciennes away from home on Tuesday.

A Zlatan Ibrahimovic hat-trick saw the French giants win 4-0 at Stade Nungesser and close the gap on Ligue 1 leaders Lyon to two points.

"It was a good test for the team tonight," ESPNSoccernet quotes Ancelotti as saying on Tuesday.

"After two good home games, against Porto and Evian, we needed to register a good performance on the road. We're very happy because in the space of 10 days, a lot of things have changed.

"We were compact tonight; we worked well in attack and defence. We had a lot of chances in the first half before improving and converting our chances in the second."

PSG will host Lyon at Parc des Princes on Sunday.
