Valencia confirm Shkodran Mustafi interest

Valencia boss Nuno has confirmed that the club are interested in signing Sampdoria centre-back Shkodran Mustafi this summer.

The 22-year-old, who won the World Cup with Germany this summer, is believed to be valued in the region of £12m by his current club.

"He's a world champion and one of many possibilities we have," Nuno told Superdeporte.

"Our dream is to be in the Champions League next year and I think it's possible. I hope that all our dreams become a reality and the fans get to enjoy this season.

"I'm certain that when August 24 comes around, we'll be stronger and with more weapons at our disposal. We're going to make a team the fans can be proud of."

A number of European clubs are also believed to be monitoring proceedings.
