Ajax defender snubs Man Utd, Chelsea

Ajax defender Gregory Van der Wiel looks to have opted for a move to Valencia over possible switches to Manchester United and Chelsea.

The 23-year-old's contract expires at the end of the season, which has forced the Dutch club to cash in on the right-back in January, according to footie-online.co.uk.

The two clubs are thought to be negotiating a fee for the right-back.

However, the move could be hijacked before the January transfer window opens.
