Truro City draw Charlton Athletic as minnows enter FA Cup proper for first time

Cornish club Truro City have been drawn against Charlton Athletic in the first round of the FA Cup.

The minnows have never before made it into the FA Cup proper, and in order to progress into the next phase of the competition, Truro will have to face League One opposition.

Lee Hodges's team, who secured a 2-0 win over Hampton & Richmond at the weekend to grab a place in the draw, will face the Addicks away at The Valley.

Other eye-catching ties include the match-up between Hyde and MK Dons, while Barnsley-based Shaw Lane will play host to League Two outfit Mansfield Town.

First-round matches are scheduled to be held on the weekend of November 4.
