Ryan Trevitt has put pen to paper on a new three-year deal with Brentford, the first of which will be spent out on loan at League One side Exeter.
"Since arriving from Leatherhead at the end of 2020, Ryan has been a fantastic example for our B-team project," manager Thomas Frank told the club's official website.
"His development has been so impressive and his promotion to the first-team squad earlier this summer was very much deserved, as is this new contract.
"Ryan has a very exciting future ahead of him. He's a flexible player who can play in a lot of positions. The foundation is there with his defensive work, he has good technique and makes clever decisions.
"Besides all his very good football abilities he also has a phenomenal mindset and work ethic.
"It's a great opportunity for Ryan to play in League One with Exeter. He is ready for this loan move."
