Tranmere Rovers have signed Chesterfield midfielder Dan Gardner on a one-month loan deal.
The 24-year old signed for the Spireites in January 2014 after impressing for FC Halifax and has made 15 appearances for the League One side this season.
Gardner also counts Crewe Alexandra among his former clubs and began his professional footballing career at Celtic.
He has been named on the Birkenhead club's bench for Tuesday night's home game against Wycombe Wanderers.
