Toulouse held by Montpellier HSC

Toulouse remain level on points with Montpellier HSC after the fellow relegation candidates played out a 1-1 draw at the Stadium Municipal.

Martin Braithwaite almost gave le Tefece a fourth-minute lead when the Dane's strike was saved by Laurent Pionnier.

La Paillade's keeper was in action again moments later as Oscar Trejo took aim at the Montpellier goal, but failed to find the back of the net.

However, it was HSC who took the lead 11 minutes before the interval as Jerome Roussillon diverted Jonas Martin's cross into the net.

That lead would last only five minutes after Zinedine Machach equalised for TFC with a shot from distance, which beat Pionnier.

Wissam Ben Yedder then went close to restoring Toulouse's lead, but missed the target midway through the second period.

Instead, both sides were forced to settle for a draw, which leaves them level on points, but Montpellier remain outside the drop zone on goal difference.
