A waterlogged pitch forces the referee to cancel Torquay United's home encounter against Barnet.

Today's League Two fixture between Torquay United and Barnet at Plainmoor has been postponed because of a waterlogged pitch.

The match had been due to get underway at 3pm, but following an inspection by the match official, the playing surface has been deemed unplayable.

It was a big encounter for both sides, with hosting Torquay one place above the drop zone, while Barnet are two places higher.

No date has been set yet for when the match will be played.
