Torino and Genoa share the spoils in Turin and both remain in danger of suffering relegation from Serie A.

Relegation candidates Torino and Genoa have played out a goalless draw in Turin in Serie A.

The first chance of the game fell to the hosts as early as the fifth minute when Alessio Cerci shot on goal from outside the box, but his effort was saved by Sebastien Frey.

Chances dried up thereafter, as Rolando Bianchi dragged his shot wide from inside the Genoa box on 26 minutes, before Andrea Bertolacci drew out a save from Jean-Francois Gillet.

The second half promised to be more entertaining as Marco Borriello and Cerci had chances for Genoa and Torino respectively inside the opening two minutes.

However, the game then once again failed to liven up, although Paulo Barreto did go close for the hosts in the final minute of normal time with a shot from a narrow angle.
