Robin Williams bemoans Great Britain's five-a-side Paralympic defeat

Williams: 'Defeat is hard to take'

Great Britain's blind footballer Robin Williams has expressed his disappointment following ParalympicsGB's five-a-side defeat to China in the semi-final of the fifth and sixth-place playoff.

The British side managed to force through a penalty shootout but they couldn't hold on for victory as China won the best-of-three contest 2-1.

Williams tweeted: "Drew 1-1 with china, lost on pens. Not conceded from open play all week but have to play for 7th, hard to take."

Daniel English, who has been a standout player in the men's tournament, scored the equaliser for the Brits.
