Paolo Di Canio offers to refund season ticket holders

Paolo Di Canio says that he will refund Swindon Town season-ticket holders who are unhappy with his management, but that those fans should then "go to Oxford United and watch them".

Swindon Town manager Paolo Di Canio has offered to refund season ticket holders who are unhappy with how he handles his players.

The Italian has received criticism for substituting goalkeeper Wes Foderingham after just 21 minutes of his side's 4-1 defeat at Preston North End.

"Some have said they will ask for their season-ticket money back if Wes goes," said Di Canio. "I say come to the County Ground and I will give you the money back, but then don't come back to the County Ground.

"Go to Oxford United and watch them. Don't come and support Swindon, we don't need these types of supporters.

"We have seven points in League One, I have taken the club from League Two, but this is League One, not the Champions League. Other managers have taken players off after 20 minutes before."

Swindon travel to rivals Oxford tomorrow night for a first-round meeting in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy.
