Harry Redknapp: Swansea City "close to signing Andre Ayew"

Harry Redknapp has claimed that Swansea City are on the verge of signing Andre Ayew.

The former Tottenham Hotspur, West Ham United and Queens Park Rangers manager made the suggestion on Twitter, which he joined yesterday.

"Heard Swansea are close to signing Andre Ayew from Marseille. He's on the way there with his agent Mark Mackay to do the deal. Good player," the 68-year-old tweeted.

Ayew, 25, is available on a free transfer following his decision to end a 10-year association with Ligue 1 outfit Marseille, for whom he scored 60 goals in 202 outings.
