Michael Laudrup admits interest in Alberto Botia

Laudrup admits interest in Botia

Swansea City manager Michael Laudrup has admitted that Sevilla defender Alberto Botia is on his list of summer transfer targets.

However, Laudrup insists that the 24-year-old centre-half is just one of many players that he is interested in signing.

"He is a good player, but there are a lot of good players in that position," Laudrup told the South Wales Evening Post. "He may be on a list, but it's a long list.

"We have been linked with three or four players already, and this is only the beginning.

"There will be a lot of rumours with the transfer window coming up."

Botia, who was a member of Spain's Olympic squad at London 2012, has made 14 La Liga appearances this season.
