Preview: Swansea vs. Manchester United

Sports Mole previews Saturday's Premier League clash between Swansea City and Manchester United at the Liberty Stadium.

David Moyes takes charge of his first Premier League match as Manchester United boss when the reigning champions travel to Swansea City on Saturday evening.

Moyes, who replaced Sir Alex Ferguson at the helm this summer, secured the first trophy of the season with a 2-0 victory over Wigan Athletic in the Community Shield last Sunday.

It has been a successful summer for Swansea, meanwhile, with a number of new signings fuelling suggestions that the Welsh outfit could push into the higher regions of the league table this time around.

The corresponding match last season ended in a 1-1 draw in December, but United did beat Swansea in their final home game of last season, with Rio Ferdinand securing all the points in the latter stages.

Swansea are without the services of Jonathan de Guzman through injury, which could allow summer signing Jose Canas to line up in the centre of midfield.

Wilfried Bony is also expected to make his debut in attack, while Michael Laudrup must choose between Neil Taylor and Ben Davies for the left-back position.

United, meanwhile, will be without Brazilian defender Rafael through injury, while the likes of Javier Hernandez and Nani are not expected to be fit to travel due to lack of first-team action.

Ashley Young could shake off a leg problem in time to feature, but there is not expected to be a place for Wayne Rooney despite his involvement for England during the week.

Possible lineups:

Swansea: Vorm; Rangel, Williams, Chico, Davies; Britton, Canas, Shelvey; Michu, Bony, Dyer

United: De Gea; Jones, Ferdinand, Vidic, Evra; Cleverley, Carrick, Anderson; Welbeck, Van Persie, Valencia

Sports Mole says: 1-1
