Rodgers: "We weren't at our best today"

Brendan Rodgers has admitted that his Swansea City side underperformed against Norwich City earlier today.

The hosting Swans lost 3-2 to Paul Lambert's side, having initially taken a one-goal lead.

After the match, Rodgers confessed that the start of the second half proved to be the difference between the two sides.

"We weren't at our best today," said Rodgers. "We went to sleep in the first period of the second half and Norwich are a team that scores goals, and if you don't do your jobs properly then they'll punish you.

"It was a close first half, but we managed to score an outstanding goal, we nearly went two goals up but for a great bit of defending.

"We were unfortunate not to get anything at the end, but congratulations to Norwich because this is a difficult place to come and that's great credit to our players."

Swansea have dropped to 11th in the Premier League table as a result of today's defeat.
