Paul Clement linked with Swansea post

Former Derby County boss Paul Clement is reportedly a contender to become head coach at Premier League side Swansea City this summer.

The Welsh outfit are currently managed by Francesco Guidolin, but his short-term contract is up at the end of the season and it is not yet clear whether he will be offered an extension, despite guiding the Swans away from the Premier League's relegation zone.

Clement, a former assistant to Carlo Ancelotti at Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain, took on his first head coach role with Derby County in the Championship this season but was sacked after just eight months in February.

According to the South Wales Evening Post, the Englishman is a contender to take over at the Liberty Stadium, along with former Swans and Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers.
