Craig Beattie dealt injury blow

Swansea City striker Craig Beattie has been dealt an injury blow after receiving news that he will be out of action for around eight weeks due to ankle ligament damage.

The Scot has not featured for the Swans this season, but he had shown promising form during pre-season and was a part of their promotion-winning campaign last term.

The 27-year-old joined the Welsh side from West Bromwich Albion in 2009.

Swansea will be looking for their first league win of the season when they host the Baggies at the Liberty Stadium on Saturday.
