Report: Liverpool to make £8m Simon Mignolet bid

Liverpool have reportedly lined up an £8m bid for Sunderland goalkeeper Simon Mignolet as Barcelona continue to court Pepe Reina.

Victor Valdes's refusal to sign a new deal at Camp Nou has the Catalan giants scouting for a replacement and the Reds keeper is believed to top their list.

According to the Daily Mail, the Black Cats want a fee in the region of £10m for the Belgian international, but are willing to negotiate.

Mignolet had a fine season between the sticks in the Premier League, which has also led to links with Arsenal and Napoli.
