Fabio Borini undergoing AC Milan medical

AC Milan have confirmed that Fabio Borini is undergoing a medical at the club ahead of his proposed move from Sunderland.

The 26-year-old was also reportedly wanted by Milan's Serie A rivals Lazio, but the Rossoneri have seemingly won the race for his signature.

Borini is expected to initially join Milan on a season-long loan deal before moving to San Siro permanently in a £5.3m transfer next summer.

Borini scored just seven goals in 50 league appearances for Sunderland after joining the club from Liverpool in 2015.
