Woodgate eager for Stoke stay

Stoke City defender Jonathan Woodgate is reportedly keen to hatch out a new deal at the Britannia Stadium.

The former Tottenham Hotspur centre-back has experienced a difficult period in his career after being struck down by a number of injuries over the last few years.

Despite an inconsistent season for the Potters, the 32-year-old is believed to be determined to extend his one-year contract with the club. according to the Express.

It is thought that Stoke boss Tony Pulis was willing to offer Woodgate a fresh deal at the end of the season on the condition that the defender can prove his fitness.
