Mark Hughes still on the lookout for new players

Mark Hughes says that Stoke City have not finished their business in this summer's transfer window.

Stoke City manager Mark Hughes has revealed that he could dip his toe back into the transfer market before the window slams shut in September.

The Welshman has added Marc Muniesa and Erik Pieters to his squad in what has been a relatively quiet summer since taking over from Tony Pulis.

"We get linked with a lot of players," he told Sky Sports News. "More often or not if I have worked with them we get linked at some point, but we are in obviously the market and we will see what is out there.

"If we see something that makes sense in terms of the package and is the right type of player to add to the quality we have got, then we will pursue it, but at the moment there is nothing in the offing. But if we target the right player we will have a real go at bringing him to the football club.

"I have done good business right up to the last day of the window and up to the last minute and you take the opportunities when they present themselves, the transfer market is not easy to navigate and we are pleased with the two guys we have brought in."

The Potters have been recently linked with Tottenham Hotspur striker Jermain Defoe.
