Stoke City boss Mark Hughes tells suitors for Bojan Krkic "don't bother"

Hughes rejects Bojan speculation

Stoke City manager Mark Hughes has rubbished suggestions that Bojan Krkic could leave the club this month.

The 24-year-old, who was described as the new Lionel Messi during his youth career at Barcelona, signed for the Potters last summer.

In recent weeks, Liverpool have been linked with a move for the attacker, but Hughes has insisted that the Spaniard is content at Stoke.

When asked by reporters about clubs possibly wanting to sign Bojan, Hughes said: "Don't bother.

"I think he's very happy. We have no intention of encouraging any interest in him. He's a big part of what we want to do, moving forward, so it's a non-story."

The players returned to England today after spending the week in Dubai to escape the bitter chill in training.
