Stoke City boss Tony Pulis admits that he wants Robert Huth and Glenn Whelan to remain at the Britannia "for a long time".

Stoke City boss Tony Pulis has admitted that Robert Huth and Glenn Whelan deserve new long-term deals at the Britannia Stadium.

The Premier League side are keen to tie down the pair, both 27, to new contracts with Whelan already believed to be in talks over a four-year extension.

"We always look after the players who have done well for us and we want to keep Robert and Glenn here for a long time," said Pulis.

"Everybody has to feel a part of what we're trying to achieve."

Stoke are currently 12th in the league table.
