Stoke boss Tony Pulis backs Peter Crouch for an England recall following the striker's goal in Saturday's 2-1 win over Wolves.

Stoke City boss Tony Pulis has backed Peter Crouch to be called into England's Euro 2012 squad after the striker netted the winner in Saturday's 2-1 win against Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Crouch pounced on the hour at the Brittania Stadium with a trademark header to give the Potters their first win in five.

With the summer tournament just months away, Pulis believes that the forward would pose a major threat in Poland and the Ukraine.

"I'd definitely take Peter to the Euros because he's a game changer and I don't think foreign sides like playing against Peter. We found that in Europe," said the Welshman.

"He gives you that aerial presence. Whoever is picking the team, and we don't know who that is yet, Peter is a game changer and you need them in your side."

Stoke have moved up to 11th in the Premier League table with the win.
