Result: St Johnstone 2-0 Hearts

Two goals from St Johnstone's Cillian Sheridan saw off the challenge from Hearts at McDiarmid Park this afternoon.

The striker scored either side of half-time after being assisted by Francisco Sandaza on both occasions.

Fourth-placed Hearts had little answer to Sheridan's double and very rarely called Saints goalkeeper Peter Enckelman into action.

The victory has lifted St Johnstone up to fifth in the Scottish Premier League.
