Andre Villas-Boas will not sell Tottenham Hotspur pair

Andre Villas-Boas tells Harry Redknapp that Scott Parker and Michael Dawson will be going nowhere in January.

Tottenham Hotspur boss Andre Villas-Boas has warned Harry Redknapp that he will not be able to sign Scott Parker or Michael Dawson in January.

Redknapp, who is now manager of Queens Park Rangers after being replaced by Villas-Boas in the summer, wants the pair to join him at Loftus Road.

Villas-Boas though has insisted that they are going nowhere, despite accepting a bid from QPR for Dawson back in August when Mark Hughes was manager.

"We are not looking to let Parker or Dawson go in January, that's for sure," Villas-Boas told reporters. "It's hard for me to say what QPR's plans are but Harry knows these players well, so he will look here.

"It is not something we will consider. A loan deal is not a possibility either."

Villas-Boas also welcomed the imminent return of Parker from injury, confirming his importance to the team.

He continued: "Like everyone else, he will have to compete for his place, but we recognise the importance of the player and rate him very highly."

Spurs' next game is against Swansea City at 1.30pm today.
