Tottenham target Lukas Podolski

Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp is reportedly interested in signing Cologne's Germany international Lukas Podolski.

The former Bayern Munich man is expected to leave the RheinEnergieStadion in the summer and has already caught the interest of several clubs around Europe, according to The People.

Spurs are believed to be unable to afford the services of Manchester City's £17m-rated Emmanuel Adebayor on a permanent basis, but see the German forward as an ideal replacement.

The 26-year-old has scored nine league goals for Cologne this season and is among the leading goalscorers in the Bundesliga.
