Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly made a surprise move for Ivory Coast striker Arouna Kone.
The 28-year-old is currently without a club following a successful loan spell at Levante from Sevilla.
The Premier League side are now keen to bring the forward to White Hart Lane, according to The Mirror.
However, manager Harry Redknapp is only expected to complete a deal if his side qualify for next season's Champions League.
Spurs' passage into the competition will be confirmed if Chelsea lose to Bayern Munich in Saturday's final.
