Southampton are reportedly tracking young Queens Park Rangers winger Eberechi Eze ahead of a potential January move.
The Saints sent director of scouting Ross Wilson to watch the 21-year-old in midweek as he draws up a list of potential targets for manager Ralph Hasenhuttl.
The winger has started every league game for Mark Warburton's side this season, scoring in yesterday's 3-1 win against Wigan Athletic at the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium.
According to The Sun, Southampton want to add some new faces to their squad and a young domestic player like Eze fits the bill after Fraser Forster left to join Celtic earlier this week.
The youngster, who came through the academy at Millwall and joined QPR in 2016, is also believed to be a target of Tottenham Hotspur.
