Numerous bookmakers rate Queens Park Rangers as the favourites to sign Tottenham Hotspur striker Jermain Defoe.

A number of bookmakers have installed Queens Park Rangers as the favourites to sign Jermain Defoe from Tottenham Hotspur this summer.

The England international's future at White Hart Lane has been the subject of much speculation in recent weeks, with some reports claiming that he was keen to seal a move away in order to gain regular starting action.

The likes of Aston Villa, Sunderland and West Ham United have all been credited with an interest in the 29-year-old.

However, it now appears that Loftus Road may be his next destination, with numerous bookies offering odds as low as 5/4 that the transfer materialises.

Defoe scored 11 Premier League goals for Spurs last season.
