Preview: Norwich City vs. Tottenham Hotspur

Sports Mole previews Tottenham Hotspur's trip to Norwich City on Wednesday night.

Earlier in the season Norwich City went 10 matches unbeaten under the guidance of Chris Hughton, which in turn allayed any fears of relegation around Carrow Road.

However, ahead of Wednesday night's visit of Tottenham Hotspur, the threat of dropping back down to the Championship has returned for the Canaries.

No team in the Premier League has been on a worse run of form than Hughton's side over the last six matches, with only one being point collected from a possible 18.

Their recent record at home to Spurs is also not overly positive, having lost the last four league meetings between the two sides in Norfolk. However, they did manage to defeat the Londoners at home in the League Cup earlier in the campaign.

Having started the weekend's FA Cup tie against Luton Town on the bench, captain Grant Holt has been tipped to return to the Norwich starting lineup. Wesley Hoolahan may also earn a recall.

Meanwhile, visiting Tottenham have an injury concern over leading goalscorer Jermain Defoe, who is believed to be suffering with a hip problem.

Should the England international fail a fitness test, American Clint Dempsey is expected to play as a lone centre-forward.
