Tottenham Hotspur, West Ham United 'vying for Barcelona's Andre Gomes'

Premier League duo Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United are allegedly locked in a two-way battle to sign Andre Gomes from Barcelona.

The Hammers are said to have rekindled their interest in the Portuguese midfielder, having attempted to recruit him last summer, but now face competition from their London rivals.

According to The Mirror, Gomes is keen on a move to the Premier League.

The 24-year-old, who can play across the midfield, has found first-team football hard to come by at Barca this term but recently downplayed rumours that he is seeking a move elsewhere.

Gomes joined Barca from Valencia in 2016.
