Tottenham Hotspur manager Nuno Espirito Santo promotes defensive protege Tobi Omole to first-team training, according to a report.

Tottenham Hotspur protege Tobi Omole has reportedly been promoted to the first team squad by Nuno Espirito Santo.

The 21-year-old came through the youth ranks at Spurs' bitter rivals Arsenal before making the move across North London to sign for Tottenham in 2020.

The centre-back featured on 20 occasions for Tottenham's Under-23s during the 2020-21 Premier League 2 season and already has one goal from five appearances in the division this term.

Having also made the bench in the Premier League and Europa Conference League since Santo's arrival, Football Insider reports that the centre-back has been promoted to first-team training.

The report adds that Omole could also be in line for a new contract at Spurs if he impresses Santo in training, with his current deal set to run out at the end of the season.

Meanwhile, Spurs could supposedly be without their four South American players for the trip to Newcastle United on October 17.
