Michael Dawson: 'Signings will improve Tottenham Hotspur'

Tottenham Hotspur captain Michael Dawson is confident that the club's new signings will improve the team this season.

Tottenham Hotspur captain Michael Dawson has insisted that the club's new signings will improve the team this season.

Spurs have brought in four new players over the summer, including Roberto Soldado and Paulinho, at a total cost of nearly £59m.

"We have brought in players that are going to hopefully get us to the next level," Sky Sports News quotes Dawson as saying.

"As a club you never want to stand still, you want to keep improving and that's what we've done this summer."

Tottenham get their Premier League campaign underway at Crystal Palace later today.
