Tottenham Hotspur team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Crystal Palace

Tottenham injury, suspension list vs. Crystal Palace

A London derby takes place at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Boxing Day with Crystal Palace set to pay a visit to their capital counterparts.

Antonio Conte's men have recovered from a COVID-19 outbreak to draw 2-2 with Liverpool and beat West Ham United 2-1 in the EFL Cup quarter-finals over the past week.

The Lilywhites are set to begin the day seventh in the Premier League table, but they are only six points behind fourth-placed Arsenal having played three games fewer.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up all of Tottenham's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the contest.

Cristian Romero

Status: Out Type of injury: Thigh Possible return date: Unknown

Cristian Romero remains out with the thigh injury that he suffered with Argentina, and Conte does not expect the defender to return for at least another three weeks.

Ryan Sessegnon

Status: Out Type of injury: Thigh Possible return date: Unknown

The injury-plagued Ryan Sessegnon is also struggling with a thigh problem, and the ex-Fulham man is unlikely to return before the New Year.

Bryan Gil

Status: Major doubt Type of injury: COVID-19 Possible return date: December 26 (vs. Palace)

Bryan Gil is believed to have been one of the Spurs players affected by the COVID-19 outbreak and was nowhere to be seen against West Ham, making him a doubt for this battle.

Dane Scarlett

Status: Major doubt Type of injury: COVID-19 Possible return date: December 26 (vs. Palace)

As is the case with Gil, Dane Scarlett is reported to have tested positive for coronavirus and may not be available here, but he would be unlikely to earn many minutes anyway.

TOTTENHAM'S SUSPENSION LIST

Tottenham have no players suspended for this match.
