Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane has revealed that the club are very keen to qualify for the Europa League next season.
The North Londoners are currently on course to finish sixth and qualify for the tournament, but they slumped to a 3-0 defeat at Stoke City on Saturday.
The Europa League has often been seen as a chore for teams to play in, but Kane is adamant that it is an important competition.
He told reporters: "It's more games so it gives us more opportunities to play together. Champions League teams have to do the same. If they win the Champions League they have to play that many games, so the Europa League's no different.
"If anything it gives us a bit more experience in Europe, hopefully to try to push on to the Champions League. Everyone in and around the team wants to be involved."
Tottenham have played in the Europa League for the last four seasons.
