Lucas Moura: 'I can help Tottenham Hotspur to Champions League glory'

Lucas: 'I can lead Spurs to CL glory'
New Tottenham Hotspur signing Lucas Moura insists that his side are capable of winning the Champions League and believes he can help them achieve the ambitious target.

New Tottenham Hotspur signing Lucas Moura has set his sights on helping the club to win the Champions League for the first time.

Spurs have not won a trophy of any kind since lifting the League Cup 10 years ago, but they are in the driving seat of their Champions League last-16 tie with Italian champions Juventus following an impressive 2-2 draw in Turin last week.

Moura made his debut as a sub in that match before marking his first start for the club with a goal in the FA Cup draw with Rochdale on Sunday, and the Brazilian has set ambitious targets for himself and his teammates in the coming years.

"Every player wants to win trophies, to make history and I am here to make history with my new friends. I believe that because we have a lot of quality, a great structure and I think we can dream with the Champions League," Moura is quoted as saying by the Evening Standard.

"Why not? I gained a lot of experience at PSG and I think I can help Tottenham. The Champions League is the most difficult trophy but we have the capacity to win it."

Spurs will welcome Juventus back to Wembley for the second leg on March 7.
