With both teams struggling for wins of late, Sparta Rotterdam and Go Ahead Eagles face off at the Het Kasteel on Saturday in round 26 of the 2021-22 Eredivisie season.

For the visitors, this weekend's clash also represents an opportunity to complete a first league double of the season following a 2-0 victory in August's reverse fixture.

Sparta are now entering the last chance saloon to preserve their top-flight status, and anything short of a victory this weekend would be a huge setback. We fancy them to narrowly edge out their visitors and come away with all three points at the end of the 90 minutes.

NEC visit the Hitachi Capital Mobility Stadion for their meeting against Groningen on Saturday aiming to avoid a third consecutive league defeat.

On the other hand, the home side set out to extend their ongoing three-game unbeaten run and continue their recent surge up the Eredivisie table.

Both teams are closely matched in the league table, and we expect a tight affair in this one with neither team giving too much away. We are also backing a share of the spoils with the sides settling for a point apiece come the final whistle.

RKC Waalwijk vs. Heerenveen (Saturday, 8.00pm)

Separated by just three points and one place in the Eredivisie table, RKC Waalwijk and Heerenveen lock horns at the Mandemakers Stadion on Saturday.

Both sides come into this one having found wins and points hard to come by of late, and a victory here would do the world of good for either team.

We say: RKC Waalwijk 1-0 Heerenveen

As with most games involving sides in the lower echelons of the table, we are expecting a nervy and cagey affair with both teams focusing on not losing rather than going for all three points. However, Waalwijk have a slight edge playing in front of their fans, and we can see them nicking this one by the odd goal.
