Spain midfielder Andres Iniesta has backed England to cause a stir at the World Cup this summer.
Iniesta's La Roja will enter as one of the favourites to triumph, but England are considered rank outsiders once more.
The 30-year-old, however, has claimed that "England has always got to be a candidate".
"England has always got to be a candidate, it has always got to be considered one of the favourites because of the history, because of the players, because they have a particularly defined style," the Daily Mail quotes Iniesta as saying.
"They've got really good players, talented players, but apart from that what will really drive them is the desire to improve on the performance they had in 2010."
The World Cup begins on June 12.
