How Spain could line up against the Czech Republic

Spain manager Luis Enrique may consider a couple of alterations as his side prepare to meet the Czech Republic in League A Group 2 of the UEFA Nations League in Prague on Sunday night.

Aymeric Laporte and Thiago Alcantara both withdrew injured before the start of the tournament, but La Roja have no fresh concerns to report from the opening-day draw with Portugal.

Dani Carvajal was understandably rested after his Champions League final exploits, but the Real Madrid man is now primed to take the place of Cesar Azpilicueta amid a 72-hour turnaround.

Diego Llorente and Pau Torres will likely pair up at the back once more alongside Jordi Alba and number one Unai Simon, with Eric Garcia absent from the squad on Thursday evening.

Sergio Busquets picked up a yellow card on the opening matchday and may cede his spot to Rodri, although 17-year-old Gavi should be fine to go again after his stellar showing against Portugal.

Carlos Soler's spot could also come under threat from Koke, and Ansu Fati will pine for minutes in the final third after only featuring as an unused substitute in midweek.

However, Ferran Torres, Pablo Sarabia and Alvaro Morata will all expect to hold their places, with the latter now aiming to go level with Fernando Morientes on 27 goals for La Roja.

Spain possible starting lineup: Simon; Carvajal, D. Llorente, P. Torres, Alba; Gavi, Rodri, Koke; F. Torres, Morata, Sarabia
