Spanish football fan murdered in Ukraine

A Spanish football supporter has reportedly been murdered in Ukraine.

The unnamed 46-year-old man had been holidaying in the small town of Makeyevka in the Donetsk region ahead of Euro 2012.

Local police had been searching for the man for around a month after staff at the hotel he had been staying reported him missing, according to reports in the Ukrainian media.

Unconfirmed stories have also claimed that three men have been detained in connection with the murder.
