Giuseppe Rossi brands Spain win "boring"

Italy forward Giuseppe Rossi describes Spain's 2-0 Euro 2012 win over France as boring.

Italy forward Giuseppe Rossi has described Spain's 2-0 win over France as boring.

Vicente del Bosque's men reached the last four at Euro 2012 thanks to two goals from Xabi Alonso - a 19th minute header and a stoppage time penalty.

France seemed to focus their game plan on restricting their opponent's attacking threat and mustered only one shot on target - four fewer than Spain.

Rossi, who missed out on a place in Italy's championship squad through injury, tweeted during the match: "What a boring game. *yawn.* And right when I write that, a penalty..."

Spain‬ have now equalled the longest unbeaten streak (10 games) in European Championship history. The Netherlands (1988-96), Germany (1972-84) and Italy (1968-88) are currently the joint record holders.
