Phil Brown, Graham Alexander up for League One monthly award

Southend United boss Phil Brown and Scunthorpe United manager Graham Alexander are among the nominees for November's League One Manager of the Month award.

Alexander helped the table-topping Iron secure 10 points during the month on a run which included three clean sheets, while Brown guided his side from the relegation places to within touching distance of the playoff positions.

The duo are up against Gillingham coach Justin Edinburgh - who oversaw three wins out of four in November - and Charlton Athletic caretaker manager Kevin Nugent for the accolade.

Bolton Wanderers defender Mark Beevers, Rochdale striker Steven Davies, Sheffield United centre-back Ethan Ebanks-Landell and Chesterfield's Jay O'Shea have been nominated for League One Player of the Month.

The winners will be announced on Friday morning.
