Southampton are reportedly considering a January bid for Brighton & Hove Albion winger Will Buckley.
The 23-year-old has scored five goals in 20 games for the Seagulls so far this season.
Saints boss Nigel Adkins could now test Brighton's resolve with a £2m offer for the player, according to The Mirror.
Buckley moved to the Championship club from Watford in summer 2011 for a then-club-record £1m.
