Southampton, Celtic in running for Tottenham Hotspur defender Japhet Tanganga?

Tottenham Hotspur defender Japhet Tanganga is reportedly attracting interest from Southampton and Celtic.

The 21-year-old has been restricted to just five starts and two substitute appearances this season, all of which have come in cup competitions.

West Bromwich Albion are known to be interested in signing the England Under-20s international on a loan deal until the end of the season.

However, Sky Sports News claims that Southampton and Celtic are also in contention to sign the youngster.

Saints boss Ralph Hasenhuttl requires competition at right-back, with Yan Valery on the verge of making the temporary switch to Birmingham City.

Celtic find themselves in a similar position having allowed Jeremie Frimpong to sign for Bayer Leverkusen.
