Alexander Buttner's move to Southampton could still go through

Alexander Buttner's agent Aleksandar Bursac is confident that the defender will complete a transfer to Southampton.

The newly-promoted Premier League side have been in talks with Vitesse Arnhem over the signing of the 23-year-old in recent weeks but negotiations hit a snag when a third party entered the fray.

"My gut feeling is he is still going to move to Southampton," Bursac told BBC Radio Solent.

It is understood that the third party involved claimed that they deserved a percentage of the transfer fee.
