Mauricio Pochettino says that he is pleased with how things are going since his appointment at Southampton.

Southampton manager Mauricio Pochettino has praised his players after their 2-0 victory at Reading this afternoon.

A goal in either half gave Southampton three important points in their battle to avoid relegation.

The win moved the Saints up to 11th in the Premier League, but Pochettino insists that they will not rest on their laurels.

"I felt today that we played a very good game," Pochettino told Sky Sports News. "But there are still a lot of points to be won.

"Our goal is the next game against West Ham. I am proud of what the players are doing.

"I think the club has brought me in to do a job and I am doing it well, so I am just pleased overall."

Southampton welcome West Ham United to St. Mary's next Saturday.
