Luke Shaw has said that he hopes Southampton have put their "bad patch" behind them.
The Saints went on a run of six games without a win, but sealed a 3-0 victory against Cardiff City in the Premier League yesterday.
The left-back told the team's official website: "To go 3-0 up in the first 30 minutes showed what a top team we are. It was a great win, and it was good to keep a clean sheet as well. It was one of our biggest games of the season.
"We've gone through a bad patch but hopefully we've now come out of that and things will be good from now on. We've come off the back of a 3-0 win and a clean sheet while [Everton] have just had a bad result, so hopefully they're going through the bad patch that we've just been through.
"They've been very good this season and have been challenging in the top five, so we know it's going to be a very tough game, especially with them being at home. I think they've only lost one of the last 30-odd games there, so it's going to be a great game to watch and hopefully we come out with another win."
Southampton travel to Goodison Park on Sunday.
