Southampton frontman Billy Sharp has been forced to endure abuse regarding the death of his baby son via Twitter.
The former Doncaster Rovers striker was targeted by a user on the social networking site, who mocked the passing of his child, Luey Jacob, who died in November at just two days old.
The user, who appeared to be a Doncaster supporter, tweeted: "Should have stayed with us until the end of the season you p**** f****** glad your son died and hope you get your legs broken."
The 26-year-old forward responded to the comments by writing: "Shallow little boy hope ur proud of urself."
The abuser's account has since been deleted.
